A 17years old girl fled her husband's home because she was forced by her parents to marry rather than complete her education.

The girl, who is a native of Agaie, took refuge in the Niger State Ministry of Education which plans to take care of all expenses as regards to her education.

The ministry has made the teenager to go to the Emir of Agaie's palace in other for it to be able to intervene in the issue without any obstruction and the parents of the girl have been warned not to force their daughter into marriage.

However, the state commissioner of Education, Danladi Umar Abdulhameed, told LEADERSHIP that the ministry is not against marriage but it is inhuman for parents to deny their children education and force them into marriage. Also, he advised parents to ensure that their children key into the free education programme.
