Sports We Played Our Worst Game Against Burkina Faso- Samson Siasia

Nigeria U23 coach, Samson Siasia, has lamented the poor form of his team after losing to Burkina Faso 3-1 in All African Games semi finals on Tuesday in Congo Brazzavile.

The former Flying Eagles coach explained that if the Dream Team VI must compete at any level, they must improve on the defence and also up the attack of the team.

Besides now battling hosts Congo for the bronze, Nigeria will also feature at the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Senegal, where they are drawn in a tough group that has Egypt, Algeria and Mali.

“We are not ready, we have a long way to go if we want to compete,” a disappointed Samson Siasia lamented.

“We made so many mistakes, we did not play well in the defence and we did not create chances upfront. Our defence was sleeping. It was the worse game this team have played.

“We would have to start looking at other players the way things are now going.”
