Barcelona head coach, Gerardo Martino, admitted that the aftermath shock of his side's defeat to Valencia, made the game against Real Sociedad an anxious match despite winning 2-0.

The Catalans were defeated 3-2 at Camp Nou for the first time this season by Valencia, however, Martino said the Sociedad game had no risk.

"A good game, we didn't take any risks. We were a bit apprehensive because of Saturday's game against Valencia.

"We scored twice, probably thanks to chance and not because of how we played."

"In the match against Valencia, in the first half, we played well but we didn't finish off well.

"Today we didn't dominate to the point that would allow us to think we could have killed off the tie."

A Sergio Busquets-sloppy goal just before half time and a rare own goal by Sociedad goalie, Enaut Zubikarai, gave Barcelona the victory.

Another freebie was the sending off of Inigo Martinez for dissent after the first goal, reducing Real Sociedad to 10 men.

Speaking about Messi's off time on his goal drought, Martino said, "I'm not worried about Messi scoring goals.

"He had three clear chances today, and one of them the 'keeper saved from point blank range – he'll score again soon."

Messi has scored just once in the last six matches.
