The weekly Federal Executive Council meeting which was slated for today has been cancelled as a mark of respect for Vice President Namadi Sambo’s late brother, Yusuf.
A statement issued by Sam Nwaobasi, Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, said, "His Excellency, Goodluck Ebere Jonathan, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has directed that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will not meet tomorrow, 30th April, 2014, to enable Council members attend the three day prayer for the late Captain Yusuf Sabo Sambo, the younger brother of the Vice President".
