The international future of Chelsea high flying wingback Victor Moses who was excluded by coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa has dominated discussions .

Moses was omitted by the coach in the list of players for the June 10 cracker in Uyo against the Bafana Bafana, an omission which left many shocked considering the fine season he had with Chelsea.

The 26 year old was ever present for the Blues in the run in to the Premier League title, and also played in the FA Cup final which they lost 1-2 to Arsenal at the Emirates. A game which he was sent off but according to Rohr he played through the pain barrier in that game.

” Victor has to be operated on the toe. He played only with injections in the last games including the FA Cup final game, where he got sent off against Arsenal “, Gernot Rohr told Owngoalnigeria.com.

On the international future of the forward who scored a brace in Nigeria’s 3-1 win over Algeria in their last World Cup 2018 Qualifiers, the coach said Moses is still very much in his plans,and he is counting on him to be fully fit before the game against Cameroon in September when the Word Cup Qualifiers resumes.
