On Tuesday, President Goodluck Jonathan sacked his Political Adviser, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak. The sack which was first announced on Twitter by Presidential Spokesperson has attracted celebrations and scrutiny from Nigerians.

A lot of Nigerians are curious on why Gulak was sacked.

Here's what former FCT minister and APC, Mallam Nasir El-Rufia has to say about the sack, "GULAK FIRED VIA TWITTER?: No! It is a promotion! Ahmed Gulak will resurface soon as Director-General of GEJ-Sambo 2015 Campaign Organization.

"Former Sokoto Governor Attahiru Bafarawa will replace Gulak as GEJ's Political Adviser soon, according to those that are in the know about the 2015 plans.

"Gulak will be joining an illustrious and dedicated team of proven GEJ died-hards including Stella Oduah, Tanko Yakasai, Ibrahim Shekarau, Diezani Allison-Maduekwe, Wendell Simlin (aka Reno Omokri, Asari Dokubo, Government Tompolo, Edwin Clark and Attahiru Bafarawa in the 'Transformation Campaign Team 2015'

"So Gulak will have the last laugh at all those 'bad-belle' people celebrating his apparent firing", El-Rufia wrote the on his facebook page.

However, according to sources who spoke to Vanguard Gulak’s sacking might not be unconnected with his undue meddling in the affairs of some People’s Democratic Party, PDP, states.

Meanwhile, Gulak is claiming he left the presidency to join the governorship race in Adamawa State. Vanguard quotes him saying, "indigenes of Adamawa State are fed up with the misgovernment of Admiral Murtala Nyako, whose accomplishments in office has been very negligible and controversial".

"My relationship with President Goodluck Jonathan is very cordial and PDP is functioning as a family. There is no faction among us and our focus is winning 50 percent of the governorship seats in 2015".
