Report of the autopsy conducted on late Ronke Shonde, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Lekan , two weeks ago at their Egbeda residence in Lagos was inconclusive as at yesterday.
Reliable sources told Vanguard that pathologists at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH cannot deliver a report at the moment because the ‘major pathologist’ travelled out of the country and is not yet back.
The source said, “The major pathologist traveled. He will return soon to perfect the autopsy. Ordinarily, it takes between two to three days to get an autopsy report. Though, the bruises on the corpse did not establish that it led to her death. That is all we can say for now, until the boss returns any moment from now”.
Recall that Lekan, who initially went into hiding, gave himself in to the Police in Lagos, where he denied culpability over his wife’s death. He has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba
