The divisibility of Nigeria will not be discussed at the National conference because the memo did not get widespread support.
Speaking during the Presidential media chat, President Goodluck Jonathan said that during consultations prior to the drawing up of terms for the National Conference, most stakeholders who were consulted didn't see he need in discussing the divisibility of Nigeria, "The memo was only endorsed by one person", the President said.
The President also said that the National conference was not proposed to stop the disintegration of Nigeria, "Nigeria will not disintegrate", the President said with all confidence.
He however added, "Immediately we balkanize Nigeria, we are gone, so we must stay one".
