Kenyan athlete Wilson Kipsang has now made it two wins in two years, emerging champion at the London Marathon race on Sunday.

Kipsang won the race in 2 hours, 4 minutes and 29 seconds to claim the prestigious long distance title, which was ran over 42.2-kilometers.

Stanley Biwott trailed Kipsang in second position while defending champion Tsegaye Kebede, could only finish third.

The Kenyan didn't look troubled by the travails he had to pass through before arriving in London on Thursday, after his passport was stolen in his home country last week.

Kipsang steered past his fellow Kenyan,Biwott in the final four kilometres of the race to power home to victory.

However,it was some bit of disappointment for the home crowd who were cheering British star Mo Farah.

Farah could not transit his success on the tracks to the Marathon, finishing in eight position in the race.

The 5,000 and 10,000-meter Olympic champion, was making his debut on the London marathon, but would hope to make it count next time.

Edna Kiplagat won that of the women, finishing in a time of two hours, twenty minutes and twenty one seconds.
