The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has promised to help the Super Eagles of Nigeria and other African countries representing the continent at the 2014 FIFA World cup in Brazil.

CAF after its Executive Committee meeting held last weekend in Cairo, Egypt said that it will make the CAF Centre of Excellence in Mbankomo, Cameroon, available to the continent's representatives towards preparations for the World Cup.

The highest football governing body in Africa also said it will cover the cost of the teams’ stay while in the competition.

The countries representing Africa are; Algeria, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria.

However, CAF's proposition may have been submitted late as some of the teams have already chosen camps outside Africa, the Super Eagles, for example, are looking at Houston, Texas.

Meanwhile, CAF in addition to free access to their offer of training facility, a group of media experts selected by the CAF Media Director and Media Officers of the five qualified teams will be put in place to provide exclusive report and information on the teams for African football fans.

Also, the representatives of the five African flag-bearers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup appreciated the CAF President for the platform and offered to exchange important information and facilitate better preparation for their respective teams.

After the meeting in Cairo, CAF launched the call for unity and support of the teams, whilst encouraging them on the need for adequate preparation to go farther in the competition.
