PUNCH reported that some indigenes of Bayelsa state have declared it mandatory for President Goodluck Jonathan to seek re-election come 2015.

The indigenes who are mostly from Ogbia Local Government, which happens to be the President's council, have said the President must contest the 2015 presidential election, whether he likes it or not.

Speaking during a rally and book presentation on the achievements of President Jonathan, organised by the Ogbia Graduates Forum for Positive Change, Awudumapu Agorodi, Special Adviser to Bayelsa Governor on Youths Mobilsation, said in 2015 it must be Jonathan or no other person.

"Ijaw soil has been feeding Nigeria for over 50 years. Our resources are good for the country but we are not qualified enough to be president of Nigeria.

Mr. Austin Iworibo, an aide to Governor Seriake Dickson on Mobilisation, also joined other indigenes to insist that President Jonathan must run.

"He must run whether he likes it or not because our lives and destinies are in his hands. 2015 is a must project, though it is not a do or die affair, Iworibo said.
