NYSC Corps members eagerly await access to soft loans initiative announced by Director-General Yusha’u Ahmed. Optimism abounds as the program aims to foster financial independence and empower youth through collaboration with stakeholders.

In a bid to promote self-reliance among corps members, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed announced collaborative efforts with stakeholders to provide soft loans.

Speaking at the closure of the 2024 Batch 'A' Stream '2' orientation course in Kaduna, Ahmed emphasized the importance of financial independence post-service year. He highlighted the significance of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program in equipping corps members with essential skills. Encouraging them to engage in post-camp SAED training, Ahmed stressed the need for corps members to contribute positively to their host communities while respecting local traditions and values.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna commended camp officials for their dedication and urged corps members to serve as ambassadors of peace and progress. Mr. Hassan Taura, NYSC Coordinator in Kaduna, encouraged corps members to identify community needs and engage in impactful Community Development Service (CDS) projects.

The initiative aims to empower corps members for self-reliance and foster positive contributions to society.
