A Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, has been remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre by a Federal High Court in Abuja, following his plea of not guilty to money laundering charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Gambaryan's plea came after the court dismissed his objection and ordered him to enter his plea. He was arraigned alongside Binance and Nadeem Anjarwalla, who is currently at large, on a five-count charge of money laundering amounting to $35.4 million.

Despite objections raised by Gambaryan's lawyer regarding proper service to Binance before his arraignment, the court ruled in favor of the EFCC's position. Justice Emeka Nwite adjourned Gambaryan's bail application to April 18, with trial scheduled for May 2, 2024.
