Seven (7) out of twenty-six (26) members of the Ekiti state House of Assembly, today, impeached the Speaker of the of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Omirin.
According to THE SUN, the 7 lawmakers who impeached the speaker are all members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and their action was heavily backed by the police.
After the impeachment, the 7 lawmakers swore in Dele Olugbemi as the acting Speaker.
