Ahead of the Adamawa October 11 governorship election, the Presidency has abandoned Nuhu Ribadu, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ribadu allegedly joined the PDP because he was promised the party's ticket for the forthcoming Adamawa Governorship election.
VANGUARD reported that it was gathered yesterday that for fear of any gang up against Ribadu if he emerges the candidate of the PDP by other aggrieved aspirants and party leaders, the presidency was said to have now soft- pedalled on Ribadu.
