The lawmakers, last Wednesday, directed the Clerk of the Assembly to mandate the Chief Judge of the state to constitute an investigative panel to probe Al-Makura and submit its report to the Assembly in one week.
The governor spoke at the Government House, Lafia when playing host to protesters who paid him a solidarity visit over the current move by the state lawmakers to impeach him on issues of gross misconduct and abuse of office.
According to Al-Makura, “the resistance is based on the fact that the present government in the state was democratically put in place by the Nasarawa electorate through a transparent election” even as he commended them for “bringing the government into power.”
