Nigeria - Incumbent governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, has emerged winner of Saturday’s supplementary governorship election in the state, Premium Times reports.
Mr. Okorocha, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) won in 20 out of the 23 Local Government areas in the state where the supplementary election was held, polling a total of 31,326 votes.
His closest challenger, Emeka Ihedioha, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered 13,624 votes.
