ASUU might cancel all already written Post- UTME exams

Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has threatened to cancel all already written Post-UTME exams. This is as ASUU members denied being part of the exercise.

Briefing reporters at a conference in Lagos, the Ibadan Zonal Coordinator of ASUU, Adesola Nassir, alleged that some schools hastily conducted the examination in order to make money from the candidates.

“Vice-chancellors are employing non-academic staff and consultant to do Post-UME. They are doing it because of money. The exam already constitutes a crisis-point in the universities”.

According to Adeola, “results from the examination may be jettisoned”.

Post UTME has it's advantages and disadvantages. It helps separate the hard working students and the lazy ones. Most people regard JAMB and WAEC as corrupt. What ASUU ought to do is monitor the exercise to prevent institutions from exploiting innocent poor students.
