The boko haram terrorist sect allegedly paid parents in Mubi, Adamwa state N5,000 in exchange for their daughters.
According to NIGERIAN TRIBUNE, a survivor of the Boko Haram attack on Mubi who fled to Kano, told the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Hausa in an interview that parents were forced to collect N5,000 and surrender their daughters to the terrorists.
The numbers of girls that were taken is still unknown. Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has continued to insist that no part of the country's territory has been surrendered to terrorists.
