Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Argentine player Angel Di Maria joined Manchester United because of more money.
Ancelotti said that the 26-year old left Real Madrid because of the lure of more money that Manchester United offered him,not that they wanted to sell him.
United broke the British transfer record to bring the Argentine to Old Trafford for €75 million from Real Madrid earlier this summer, which mean that United have spent to over €160m under Louis van Gaal.
And Madrid coach Ancelotti has taken a swipe at the winger, who made 52 appearances in all competitions for the club last season.
"Some players love to compete, others prefer to make more money," he told Eurosport.
"If a player needs motivation to play at the best club in the world, I have no problem in letting him go."
