Alhaji Taofiq Isah, Administrator of Ijumu Local Government has been arrested over alleged assassination attempt on Senator Dino Melaye.

Mr Wilson Inalegwu, the Commissioner of Police in Kogi announced the arrest on Wednesday. He said that aside the council boss, some unspecified number of persons had also been interrogated in connection with the matter.
“When you are suspected, you will be interrogated. We are treating this matter as a very serious one.
“We shall be thorough and professional. We shall fear no one,” he said.
