The Chibok girls who had escaped earlier, who were said to have been sponsored by the government to study in different institutions in the nation, have complained about being neglected and abandoned by the state government.

A DailyPost correspondent who spoke with one of the girls said that the over 50 girls were dumped in a single room in one of the government lodges in Maiduguri, Borno State.

DailyPost reports:
She said “over 50 of us were kept in a single room without adequate food, as only two persons were left to take care of our feeding. Most of us came with only two or three pairs of clothes but we were only given N10, 000, five wrappers and a phone”.

According to her, the principal of the school usually came and picked them in batches to undisclosed locations after seizing their phones to deny them opportunity of communicating with their parents and loves ones.

“As I am speaking to you, they picked 26 of us, mostly Christians to an unknown destination and just yesterday, they picked another 13, remained only 15 of us”, she complained.

One of the parents told our correspondent on phone that already, some of the girls had escaped and went back to Chibok, as according to her daughter, they were tired of staying in captivity, as they were locked up in one place.
