An unidentified man in military garb was on Monday beaten to pulp for allegedly stealing an iphone belonging to a young lady at gun point on Sunday.
Reports say the woman raised alarm on sighting him at the popular Robson G. Shopping plaza, along Okumagba Avenue in Warri on Monday.
Sensing danger, the man tried to escape from the scene with a knife in his hand but was apprehended.
He was given the beating of his life.
He was almost lynched before he was rescued by policemen. Some soldiers came afterwards and took him away.
