Metro IGP Orders for More Security in Worship Places Ahead of Eid-El-Fitr Celebration.

As Ramadan fast gradually comes to an end, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has ordered Command Commissioners of Police nationwide to improve and and provide water-tight security in a bid to ensure hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration, VANGUARD says.

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relation Officer, Force Headquarters, Emmanuel Ojukwu, Arase demanded that special attention be placed on places were people worship, critical public places and other vulnerable points prone to criminal attack.

The IGP, while felicitating with muslim faithful, urged citizens to maintain utmost vigilance and to continue to support the Police by providing useful information towards preventing and unearthing crimes and their perpetrators
