After 36 non-Muslims were killed in Kenya by the Al-Shabab terrorist sect in a quarry in Mandera, National Police Chief David Kimaiyo has resigned.

After receiving the letter of resignation from the police chief, the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, announced that the Interior Minister would also be immediately dismissed.

AP reports that Kenyatta has named an opposition politician and retired army general, Joseph Nkaissery as the new Interior Minister, who would be in charge of security.

The ruthless Al-Shabab sect, two weeks ago, attacked a bus and killed 28 Christians.
