The PDP's national chairman has expressed confidence in President Jonathan winning the elections slated for March 28 and April 11.

He listed five states where their governors defected to APC and said that President Jonathan will win in those states despite that.

The states he mentioned were: Rivers, Kwara, Sokoto, Adamawa and Kano

Mu'azu said Jonathan's win is assured in those states because those governors have done a terrible job of governing there. According to the Vanguard newspaper, "in a statement signed yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Tony Amadi, Muazu alleged that the states were no longer functioning because the governors have used the state’s money to prop up the presidential ambition of General Muhammadu Buhari, retd.

"It would be recalled that following some irreconcilable differences in the PDP, governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers; Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano; Aliyu Wammakko of Sokoto; Abdulfatih Ahmed of Kwara and former governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtala Nyako, retd had dumped the PDP for the APC."
