The Nigerian Army is working on a 20-year development plan with the British Army in order to improve its service, director of Military Intelligence, Maj.-Gen. Letam Wiwa, revealed yesterday at a seminar.
Wiwa, who is the chairman of the committee handling the development strategy said the seminar was the offshoot of the series of meetings held by the committee over the development plan for the Nigerian Army, especially considering the current security challenges facing the country.
“The aim, among other things, is to enhance the state of combat readiness and general national development in line with the development agenda of the federal government,” he said.
