Barely 24 hours after a Nigerien was arrested for allegedly raping a woman and beheading her two-year-old child in Ogun State, another citizen of the neighbouring West African country was on Friday arrested for allegedly being in possession of over 1,000 passport photographs of young boys, the police have said.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, who disclosed this to journalists in Abeokuta, said the suspect, Abdulkarim Sallah, of Ketu Area Lagos State, was apprehended in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
“In its bid to fortify security in Ogun State, the policemen attached to Sagamu Area Command of Ogun State arrested one Abdulkarim Sallah of Ketu Area Lagos state, who is a Nigerien, at Ogijo area on Friday 18th April at about 1300hrs,” Mr. Adejobi said.
