Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kwara state have apprehended two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC with 56 Permanent Voters Cards.
The women said they came with the cards to Ilorin from two wards in Asa Local Government Area of the state to photocopy as directed by the APC leadership.
PDP Kwara state chairman, Iyiola Oyedepo claims that the possession of the cards by the women was part of plots to manipulate next year’s general election in the state. He also said that the people would have been lynched but for the quick intervention of the PDP leadership.
NATIONAL MIRROR reported that the women are now being held by the Directorate of State Security, DSS.
However, APC Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Buhari, said the two women; Misilimat Kadiri and her partner, who refused to disclose her name were ‘association leaders’ in the party who were carrying out the party’s instructions. He said there was nothing wrong with their actions.
