The presidency has disowned the #iStandWithBuhari organisation, a political group which is planning a 9 million man march to further acquaint Nigerians with the policies of the Buhari government and drum support for the president.
“President Muhammadu Buhari does not believe in premature and ostentatious celebration of his government’s successes," @NGRPresident twitter account, said.
“The government believes it is too early to be celebrating; it will legitimately do so when the time is ripe.”
It also called on the #iStandWithBuhari group to stop dropping the name of the President’s wife, Aisha, to promote its activities.
