Senator Felix Oboro, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa Presidential Campaign Committee, on Friday defected to the All Progressives Congress; THIS DAY reports.
Speaking during his official welcoming ceremony to APC, Senator Oboro said, ''In 1998, we laid the foundations for PDP and nurtured the party to become the dominant party that it has become in the state, but the outcome of the recent PDP congress has destroyed the cohesion in the party.
''The people of Bayelsa have been yearning for development, and pledged that the APC presidential candidate would reverse the trend''.
Senator Oboro was received into the APC by state leader, Chief Timipre Sylva.
