Sports Salami, Igbinoba In Pole Position To Win Rashidi Yekeni Highest Goal Scorer Award

Super Eagles forward, Gbolahan Salami has shot himself into the Rashidi Yekini highest goal scorer award chase in the ongoing NPFL season after scoring in his side's 4-0 mauling of relegation bound Bayelsa United on sunday.

The Warri Wolves player is now joint top scorer with Esosa Igbinosa of Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League season that's two games to wrap up on November 15, except for some postponed games.

Sunshine Star's Tunde Adeniji is next with 14 goals in the league season, and he's still got chance to improve on it before the league finally blows it's final whistle.
