Sports Warri Wolves Gbolahan Salami Wins Rashidi Yekini Top Scorer's Maiden Edition

Super Eagles striker, Gbolahan Salami has overthrown Sunshine's Tunde Adeniji as the Nigeria Professional Football League highest goal scorer for the 2014/15 season with 17 goals.

The former Shooting Stars player scored twice in his side's week 38 rescheduled fixture, which was played on Monday to beat FC Taraba.

Salami, who has also featured for Enyimba in the past will now be presented with the maiden edition of the Rashidi Yekini highest goal scorer award for the just concluded NPFL league season.

Behind Salami on the top scorer's chat is sunshine's Tunde Adeniji, who ended the season with 16 goals for but failed to help his side clinch a continental ticket when the Akure Gunners hosted the league champions, Enyimba in Lagos.

Last season, Mfon Udoh of Enyimba netted 23 goals to set a new all-time goals record in the league. Africanfootball
