The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase has effected a shakeup in Nigerian police, Punch reports.

He has redeployed four Deputy Inspectors-General of Police to head departments and formations as part of efforts “to reposition the Force for better efficiency," a statement on Monday by police spokesman, Emmanuel Ojukwu said.

Dan’Azumi Doma is now the DIG in-charge of Department of Finance and Administration,FHQ Abuja.
Kakwe Katso, now DIG in-charge of Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, Abuja;
DIG Chintua Amajor-Onu, Department of Information and Communications Technology FHQ Abuja,
DIG Olawale Adeniji was transferred to the Department of Research and Planning, FHQ, Abuja.

“DIGs Mamman Tsafe in charge of Department of Logistics and Supply, FHQ Abuja, Saliu Argungu Hashimu, Department of Training and Development, FHQ Abuja and Sotonye Wakama, Department of Operations, FHQ Abuja still maintained their duty posts,” the statement added, noting that the postings were with immediate effect.
