The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has cautioned the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and foremost opposition, the All Progressives Congress, APC to desist from over heating the polity; LEADERSHIP reports.

APGA gave the advice during a press conference addressed by the South West chairman of the party, Alhaji Tayo Sowunmi in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

APGA said, ''We appeal to the PDP and APC to give peace a chance by ensuring that the campaign trains of opponents are not molested by stone-throwing ruffians and arms carrying thugs.”

''Both political parties should stop behaving as if they own Nigeria. PDP and APC leaders should stop pushing their lucks and realise that there are 23 other political parties capable of ruling as well, or even better''

''Although APGA was initially vehemently opposed to a shift in the polls, we have taken it in good faith taking into consideration the security reasons cited by the Military and the inability of INEC to distribute PVCs to all registered voters''

''We appeal to the federal government to double their efforts to annihilate the Boko Haram insurgents completely from the Nigerian soil within the next six weeks. We appeal to all stakeholders in the Nigeria project – all political parties, civil organisations, Right groups and elder statesmen to stop beating drums of war through inflammatory declarations based on ethnic or religious sentiments.
