Sports Sunday Oliseh Hands Kelechi Iheanacho First Super Eagles Call-Up

Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh has invited Manchester City youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho for the first time for 2018 World Cup second round fixture against Swaziland in November.

The 19-year old was left out of the initial 23-man list, which included Obafemi Martins, who has been away from the national team for over two years now.

But the former Eagles captain made a swift turnaround and added the Manchester City youngster to make the list of players 24.

The gaffer claimed he's been following the progress of the best player of the FIFA U17 world championship in UAE in 2013 as he scored for his club and got two assists in City's 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

"I have been following Kelechi's progress at City."

Kelechi Iheanacho was named man of the match in the game where he scored a goal and provided two assists to aid his side's progress in the competition. NFF
