Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhle has accused former Governor, Timipre Sylva of using thugs to sabotage the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship primary in Bayelsa state.
According to LEADERSHIP, Oshiomhole, who addressed newsmen at Government House in Benin, said members of his committee were held hostage for several hours by political thugs loyal to ex-Governor Sylva who threatened that they must conduct the primaries in spite of the fact that some delegates were arrested with cloned cards.
Oshiomhole also accused officials of the APC executive in Bayelsa of conducting parallel primary instead of working with representatives of the party from the national headquarters sent to conduct the election; PREMIUM TIMES reports.
