Now that the Smartphone game is fairly balanced, Smartphone manufacturers are beginning to switch game play to dominate your wrists and head, the next lucrative real estate for hi-tech device manufacturers. But first, they have to convince you that you actually need to wear them.

We read that Smartphone manufacturers have launched a barrage of new wearable devices at Barcelona, Spain, looking for the next big thing in developed markets, where Smartphone sales have long reached an inexorable plateau.

The Mobile World Congress brings closer home the fact that Smartphone companies are beginning to seriously delve into smart bracelets and eyewear, new gadgets destined to take up more of your body parts than just your palm.

Will they succeed? Bet is on that they will. According to an Accenture study of 23,000 consumers in 23 countries, there is indeed a large appetite for wearable technology. Apparently, 46 percent of the respondents say they will (‘deff’) go for the smart watches and 42 percent the smart glasses.
