Adolphus Wabara, former senate president has disclosed that he rejected a N250million bribe given to him by former President Olusegun Obasanjo during his time in office.

According to TOP CELEBRITIES, Wabara said brought to his house at about 1.30am on Thursday May 16, 2007 by some foot solders of ex-president Obasanjo and he rejected the money. The bribe was to serve as payment for him to endorse Obasanjo's third term bid.

Speaking further, Wabara said that Obasanjo had invited him to his office at the Villa on July 3rd, 2013 along with his younger brother, then MD of Hallmark Bank and they spent two hours with the president. He revealed that Obasanjo told him he would continue as Senate President in 2007 if he would help him actualize his 3rd term ambition and he turned him down point blank and told him to his face that could never work.

Wabara further claimed that his opposition of a third term tenure for Obasanjo was one of the reasons he had been forgotten.
