Sports Warri Wolves to jet out to Congo for Caf Confederations cup playoffs

Warri Wolves media office, Moses Etu, has said that the seasiders will beat their opponents, AC Leopards in Saturday’s Caf Confederation Cup play-off billed for the Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso, Dolisie.

Wolves are the only Nigerian side in the Caf Confederations cup progressing to the play offs of the championship after defeating MK Etancheite of Democratic Republic of Congo 3-1 on aggregate.

Etu also confirmed that the team will be jetting out of the country this Thursday ahead of the clash while assuring that Wolves have all it takes to secure a way in Congo.

“We will leave for Lagos [on Wednesday] and travel out on Thursday,” Etu told Goal.

“AC Leopards came to Kano, Pillars defeated them 4-1 while the reverse leg ended 3-0 and qualified on away goal rule, against Heartland they lost 3-2 in Owerri and qualified too on away goal rule after winning at home 2-1 and currently, they are fourth in the Congolese league.

“Our boys are determined and we have the players that will deliver. We are going out for a win and getting a draw would be our worst result [in Congo] and we’ll return home to finish the job,” he concluded.

Paul Aigbogun’s men are yet to lose a game since the beginning of the competition. Goal
