The Secretary-General, Committee of Vice-Chancellors (CVC), Michael Faborode, has said some of his colleagues reportedly removed last Saturday were not sacked but that their tenures would expire today.

Mr. Faborode, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja, said that it would not be fair to say that nine of the 12 vice-chancellors were sacked.
But Mr. Faborode of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors said, “The tenure of the vice-chancellors of nine of these universities expires on February 15.” (NAN).
