Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo believes that Super Eagles team-mate Emmanuel Emenike will help lead the country's quest at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Omeruo currently on loan at Championship side Middlesborough from his parent club Chelsea,is hoping that the Fenerbahce striker stays fit and injury free for the World Cup as he could be a pivotal player for the team.

“He’s really good; I just hope he doesn’t have any injury. He is definitely one of the promising strikers for the national team because he is really very strong and good” Omeruo said.

Emenike has been the one leading Nigeria's lines since 2014,as he seems to be the preferred first-choice strike in attack for the Super Eagles.

He helped Nigeria win the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa, scoring four goals before an injury forced him to sit out the finals against Burkina Faso.

Emenike has not looked back since then, scoring two vital away goals that helped Nigeria beat Ethiopia and qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
