The 2023 AfroFuture Festival, previously known as Afrochella, is set to take place from December 28 to 29 at the El Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana. The event, organized by Culture Management Group (CMG), will feature a lineup headlined by Nigerian-American Afrobeats superstar Davido, British-Gambian rapper J Hus, and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif. The festival's theme for this year is "Black Unification & Pan Africanism," with a focus on celebrating the achievements of Black pioneers and their contributions to art, culture, and innovation worldwide.

The festival is not just about music but also aims to promote a broader cultural experience. In the lead-up to the event, AfroFuture will host a two-week expo featuring digital experiences, wellness sessions, screenings, and panel discussions. There will also be an entrepreneurial pitch competition in collaboration with Pharrell Williams' non-profit Black Ambition, a Rising Star challenge for up-and-coming artists, a short film competition with the non-profit Black Film Space, and a community service day.

Kenny Agyapong Jr., COO/co-founder of AfroFuture, highlighted the festival's role in contributing to Ghana's tourism and hospitality sectors, welcoming international visitors to experience the rich culture and diverse offerings of the country.

The event is sponsored by TuneCore, YouTube, Black Ambition, Topics, Martell, and Jameson, with the goal of making Ghana a premier destination for travelers worldwide
