The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has apprehended Barrister Ekere Sunday Ebong, 55, following a viral video showing him brutally assaulting his wife at their residence in Ewet Housing Estate. The suspect, a recurrent perpetrator of domestic violence, subjected his wife to severe injuries during the assault. The Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, ordered Ebong's arrest to prevent further human rights abuses and maintain public order.
