Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has announced his willingness to spearhead a coalition of opposition parties aiming to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Atiku expressed this resolve in a congratulatory message to PDP governors whose elections were upheld by the Supreme Court.

Emphasizing the importance of a united opposition force for the strength of Nigerian democracy, Atiku affirmed, "I am as prepared as ever to lead the charge, alongside all our leaders and governors, for the good of our country."

This declaration comes as the apex court's verdict ensures a continuation of good governance standards in states like Bauchi, Plateau, Cross River, and Zamfara.

Atiku urged the victorious PDP governors to view this as an opportunity to consolidate and expand their achievements in governance.

With the election phase concluded, Atiku anticipates the PDP's intensified role as the major opposition party, supported by capable governors.
