David Adedeji Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has settled the breach of contract lawsuit brought against him by Brownhill Investment Company Limited, led by the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick. The legal battle, which unfolded at the High Court of Delta State, Effurun, has now taken a turn towards an out-of-court resolution.

As part of the terms of the consent judgment reached between the parties, Davido has agreed to pay the sum of N30 million to the claimant within seven days. This payment serves as a partial contribution towards the outstanding legal fees incurred by the claimant in pursuing the lawsuit, as outlined in the N2 billion claim filed against the music star.

The lawsuit, marked as EHC/183/2023, initially sought N2 billion in general damages from Davido. Additionally, the claimant requested N150 million to cover legal and professional fees, along with an extra N30 million designated for the cost of initiating the legal proceedings.

Among the defendants named in the lawsuit were Davido himself and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited. However, following extensive discussions and negotiations aimed at resolving the dispute, both parties have reached a mutual agreement to settle the matter amicably.

A noteworthy component of the settlement involves Davido's commitment to perform at the upcoming "Warri Again Concert" edition scheduled for October 4, 2024. As part of this arrangement, the $94,500 previously paid by the claimant to the defendants will be factored into Davido's performance at the event.
