Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, known for her high-security profile with bulletproof cars and a heavily armed security detail, has issued a call for intensified prayers to address the escalating insecurity affecting various states in the country.

In a statement shared on her official social media page on Monday, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the power of prayer in navigating the nation through its current challenges.

This plea for spiritual intervention comes in the wake of the release of the Al-Kadriyar family from a kidnappers' den in Abuja, an incident that had captured national attention. While commending security agencies for the successful rescue, Mrs. Tinubu urged continuous efforts to secure the nation. The Al-Kadriyar sisters, kidnapped two weeks prior in the Bwari area of Abuja, saw five of the six siblings regaining their freedom on Saturday, with the tragic loss of one sister earlier in the ordeal due to unpaid ransom demands.

The First Lady's advocacy for prayer, coupled with her own security measures, highlights the complex discourse surrounding the nation's security challenges.
