The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has passionately urged state governors and lawmakers to enforce capital punishment for kidnappers. During a meeting with the National Women Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Tinubu expressed her deep concern over the kidnapping of innocent children, emphasizing their crucial role in the nation's future.

She condemned the cowardice of kidnappers, particularly targeting women and children, deeming them inhumane. Tinubu called for a strong response, asserting that captured kidnappers should face capital punishment. She emphasized the importance of protecting the nation's future by ensuring the safety and education of its children.

Tinubu also highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, focusing on empowering women economically, socially, and politically. Celebrating International Women’s Day, she urged women leaders to champion empowerment, inclusion, and welfare within the party and across the nation.

The APC National Women Leader and her deputy expressed gratitude for Tinubu's impactful interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative, seeking her continued support for increased inclusion in government activities.
