Former manager Emeka Chochoo revealed that actor Mr Ibu's wife, Stella Maris, triggered the police invitation of the actor's adopted daughter, Jasmine, and two sons, Daniel and Val. Allegedly, Maris ordered their arrest over a dispute about the signatory to Mr Ibu's account, leading to weeks of social media conflict. Actress Doris Ogala, sharing the news on Instagram, claimed Jasmine transferred N300 million meant for Mr Ibu's medical treatment from his account. However, Chochoo clarified that the police invitation was related to Mr Ibu's account, refraining from labeling it an arrest. He excluded Val from the situation, stating that he knows nothing about the ongoing events.
Stella Maris declined to comment on the allegations when contacted, and efforts to reach Jasmine were unsuccessful. Mr Ibu recently sought public assistance for a medical emergency, undergoing multiple surgeries and an amputation, with reports confirming his gradual recovery. The police invitation adds a complex layer to the family's already challenging circumstances.
