The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted precision airstrikes, eliminating 15 terrorists along the Kwiga-Kampamin Doka axis in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the NAF spokesperson, revealed the success of the mission on Monday, January 29.

The operation was prompted by an intelligence report highlighting the terrorists' movement in the area, with the same group linked to the recent ambush on troops at Kwanan Mutuwa on January 27 and other attacks in Birnin Gwari, including civilian abductions.

The NAF's meticulous approach involved tracking a convoy of approximately 15 motorcycles, each carrying armed terrorists. Following a detailed scan, the terrorists were engaged and neutralized in a precision strike, resulting in the elimination of several insurgents.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, commended the Component Commander for the successful operation, emphasizing the need for sustained efforts in counter-terrorism endeavors.
